Our Club Participated in National Boys and Girls Club Week.
May 4th, 2010
Boys and Girls Club of the Club Area participated in National Boys and Girls Club Week March 22-26.
Some of the special events were:
- Dessert night complete with a cake walk – On Tuesday night with the help of Bank Of America there was and Dessert night complete with a cake walk. Club members really enjoyed all the sweets and some of the lucky ones got to take some home
- Harlem Globe Trotters at the Mizzou Arena – On Thursday night Club member got to go see the Harlem Globe Trotters at the Mizzou Arena. MoX provided the transportation.
- Games and Activities Carnival – The highlight of the week was Friday’s carnival with the help of the employees of Sam’s Club and JCPenney’s and members of the Columbia Kiwanis’s members were treat to many games and activities including a bounce house, face painter and balloon artist.
